Functional packaging

In addition to providing services of analyzing permeability, impermeability and mechanical comportment, the laboratory aims :
 

  • To assist the food industries and the food-packaging manufacturers on their packaging material specifications, in the light of food constraints or "packaging failures". With our range of services, from specific watch to expert adviser, we will be able to define together the best reply adapted to your needs.
  • To contribute, through the qualification of materials and processes, to the research of new material or joint material processes better adapted to the demands of food quality (oxidation, hydration).
  • To review the originally developed procedures for a rapid evaluation of the shelf-life (accelerated ageing under oxygen pressure and humid ageing).
  • To improve the tools of on-site characterization in packaging / product pairs.
