Third Symposium on Fruit and Vegetable Processing

The CTCPA, INRA SQPOV UMR408 and UMR QualiSud are pleased to announce that the 3rd Symposium on Fruit & Veg Processing 2020 will take place from 31 March to 2 April 2020 at the Palais des Papes in Avignon.

How can processed fruit and vegetables be made to meet consumer aspirations, while preserving the environment and having a positive social and economic impact? F&V Processing 2020 aims to answer this question.

Researchers and young scientists from all over the world involved in all aspects of F&V transformation are invited to participate in the conference and share their ideas.
The scientific program is built around five main themes:

  • Processing and reactivity of fruit and vegetables (F&V)
  • Integrated approaches to the quality of F&V for processing
  • Food systems and sustainability of F&V processing
  • Specific challenges of F&V transformation in Southern countries
  • Identification, characterization and control of microbiological and chemical risks in the F&V production and processing chain

As in previous editions, this Symposium will contribute to making the integrated offer available in the PACA Region internationally visible and to defining it as a Euro-Mediterranean reference point for the entire fruit and vegetable sector, from production to processing and nutritional benefits.

This Symposium mobilizes a network of partners at regional, national and European level, with CIRAD, INRA, Montpellier SupAgro and the University of Reunion Island in order to have a synergistic action and efficiency throughout the chain from research to innovation.
