La plate-forme DIS 30 « Ambition plasturgie pour 2030 » sur la plasturgie durable, intelligente et sûre a été labellisée par le Conseil régional AURA. Elle associe le CTCPA et IPC (Innovation Plasturgie Composites) et vise à faire de la nouvelle région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes le leader européen des matériaux polymères.

Since about twenty years, few innovations were observed in the field of biodegradable material compositions: the typical formula for bioplastic films adopted by manufacturers consists in combining a biodegradable flexible polyester (very often with petrocessed PBAT) with a fraction of unstructured starch, which improves the biodegradability and environmental footprint of the material.

Researchers at Cermav, France's historical laboratory of research on polysaccharides and in particular cellulose, finalized additives that would stabilize the mechanical behavior of paperboard in wet environments. The start-up "FunCell" aims to develop and commercialize fiber pre-treatment and post-processing paperboard additives.
