Following a year of intense work, data collection and research in 9 European countries, the 43 partners of the SMARTCHAIN project gathered in Utrecht last week to discuss the achievements and ways forward. During the meeting crucial steps were taken to define collaborative short food supply chains considering social, environmental and economic aspects.

Created at the initiative of CETIAT, which has joined forces with CETIM, CTCPA and ENEA, ALLICE (Industrial Alliance for Competitiveness and Energy Efficiency) aims to strengthen the energy efficiency sector in industry, support innovation by bringing together all the actors in the value chain (solution providers, design and/or engineering offices, demand players) and different industrial sectors in order to increase transversality.

CTCPA is involved in a European project on short circuits, SMARTCHAIN, which brings together 43 partners from 11 countries. It is based on 18 case studies of short circuits distributed throughout Europe.
