The majority of the research projects of the CTCPA are collective research. The projects are chosen and followed by company members and financed through their fiscal tax. An independent scientific evaluation is lead at the beginning of each year for any new projects.
The results of the research are the basis for the writing of technical information (IT). They are available to the company members of the CTCPA and to all European food companies concerned by the fiscal tax (see “being a member of the CTCPA"). Each year, the members of the CTCPA are asked to prepare the collective research program. The scientific directors of the center gather the propositions of subjects or actions that the companies wish to see undertaken by the CTCPA, alone or in partnership with other partners. The priorities are defined for the center by the 2009-2012 contract of objectives and means.
