The CTCPA is a partner of the DIS 30 platform "Sustainable plastics ambition for 2030"

The IRICE scheme (business-centred research and innovation facilities) aims to set up or strengthen R&D platforms that structure the regional innovation ecosystem.  These platforms bring together facilities, skills and related services offered to companies for the implementation of their R&D projects.

The DIS 30 platform "Plastics Ambition for 2030" on safe intelligent sustainable plastics has been certified by the AURA Regional Council. It brings together the CTCPA, through its Packaging laboratory, and IPC and aims to make the new Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region the European leader in polymer materials.

The working axes of DIS30 are:

  • Accelerate the industrialization of intelligent, sustainable and safe plastic products
  • Develop new polymer materials adapted to the target markets
  • Implement an industrial approach through design, eco-design, recycling and circular economy
  • Develop synergies between the plastics excellence clusters of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes
  • Facilitate, transfer and enhance the value of SMEs.

The first investment of this DIS30 platform for CTCPA: a high-resolution mass spectrometer coupled with gas chromatography, which will make it possible to take a major step forward in the study of food-packaging interaction phenomena.

The high sensitivity of this latest generation characterization technology makes it possible to analyze ultra traces, and its high resolution allows the fine characterization of complex media and especially to identify unknown substances with greater robustness. This tool will be used in the many R&D projects undertaken at the Bourg-en-Bresse site, which specializes in the field of packaging characterization.
