Le BREF Food Milk and Drink (FDM) a été révisé et les conclusions associées sur les MTD (Meilleures Techniques Disponibles) sont parues au Journal Officiel de l’Union Européenne le 4 décembre 2019. Cette parution déclenche le compte à rebours de 1 an pour la rédaction du guide de réexamen et de 4 ans pour la mise en conformité des sites concernés par rapport aux MTD.

Following a year of intense work, data collection and research in 9 European countries, the 43 partners of the SMARTCHAIN project gathered in Utrecht last week to discuss the achievements and ways forward. During the meeting crucial steps were taken to define collaborative short food supply chains considering social, environmental and economic aspects.

Consumers are increasingly attentive and demanding with regard to the composition of food products. According to the latest Kantar TNS 2018 "Food 360" study, healthy eating is a fundamental expectation in all countries, but a growing proportion of consumers (66%) consider it likely that food will harm their health.

The CTCPA received confirmation of its ITAI qualification from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food on February 8, 2018. This qualification attests to the role of the Technical Centre as a technological research, expertise, technical assistance and training body at the service of companies and in particular SMEs.

The FOX project (Food processing in a Box) is a project funded by H2020 and supported by 26 partners across Europe including CTCPA.
The aim of this project is to stimulate the transition from a large-scale centralised food processing industry to an approach that offers new business opportunities for short or near-farm regional value chains.
